Colorado

Setup

Deal a tableau of twenty cards, in separate depots. Generally two rows of ten. Leave space for eight foundations, four for aces and four for kings. Keep the remaining cards as the stock.

Play

There is one foundation for each suit of aces and one for each suit of kings. King foundations build down to ace and ace foundations up to king. The top card of a column can be moved to the foundations at any time as long as it is the right rank. Whenever there is a vacancy in the tableau, it is filled immediately by the top card of the stock. The player flips over the top card of the stock and must place it on top of a card in the tableau. It can go anywhere, suit and rank do not matter. When there are no moves left to the foundations, the player flips over the top card of the stock and must place it on top of a card in the tableau. It can go anywhere, suit and rank do not matter.

Endgame

Win: all cards have been built on to the foundations.

Loss: the stock is depleted and there are no valid moves left to foundations

Variations

Mini Colorado: Use one deck of cards. Deal only ten spaces in the tableau. Instead of building foundations by suit, build them by color.
